Choosing a Top Web Host

Top web hosts means top web hosting companies for a variety of features; ranging from price to back-up frequency and everything in-between. In other words Tops Web Hosting Companies (http://www.bestvaluewebhostingcompanies.com/Web-Hosting/Top-Hosting-Company.html) can mean different things to each person. Best Value Web Hosting Companies (http://www.bestvaluewebhostingcompanies.com/) looks at many web hosting features from these top Internet hosting companies. Web Hosts Compared (http://www.bestvaluewebhostingcompanies.com/Web-Hosting/Web-Hosting-Comparison.html) will show side-by-side comparisons for many of these qualities. I try to simplify this for everyone by showing ‘best value’ web hosting companies, and not those that don’t provide a substance to this claim. It is interesting that there are over 4000 different web hosting companies. What could differentiate one from the other in a field so large, particularly now that many have moved toward unlimited disk space and unlimited monthly bandwidth? There are still many boutique web hosts that charge relatively lots of money for very limited disk space and bandwidth. Many of these have been around for a while and have developed a niche that will stay with them no matter what. The web hosting companies I mention are traditionally larger and have incorporated the lower disk, computer and communication prices of late, while niche hosting companies keep this extra margin for themselves. Of course I am making a generalization, but with over 4000 competing companies it would be ridiculous to not generalize in some manner. Regarding service, companies can’t survive in today’s business world without mastering this feature. Sure you will find an occasional representative that will not work as hard as you would hope, but that applies to every company in every field. We will have to avoid companies that stifle communication by using poorly communicating employees or limited hours or communication means. Some people only need help during certain hours, while others may only coordinate help through email, or need to speak with someone from a certain area. I try to capture this with my web hosts compared (http://www.bestvaluewebhostingcompanies.com/Web-Hosting/Web-Hosting-Comparison.html) table. The dozen or so companies I have chosen fit the bill in several ways. Not sure if I should publish my top web hosting choices from this group of companies, but I will look into their features further.

Bluehost Decision

I had been delaying the move of a few managed sites to space that I rent from a hosting company for some time, but pulled the trigger and made this decision November, 2007. The quick answer if I am happy is YES, I am thrilled. The longer answer that will help others with this same decision follows.
